Viet is an undergraduate student at the University of Calgary majoring in Electrical with a minor in Aerospace Engineering. Viet began the Electrical Engineering program in 2019 with a passion for physics and a keen interest in electronics from his high school years. In his first three years at the university, he has been exposed to a wide range of specializations within the electrical field. Viet now has a strong foundation in digital and analog design, embedded circuits, as well as electromagnetics and communication technology. Besides theoretical knowledge, he has developed several computer-aided software skills. This could include MATLAB, NI MultiSim for circuit testing, Altium for PCB design, and PowerWorld for power systems. Also at the University of Calgary, Viet has the chance to meet with many fascinating people who share the same interest and work together on amazing projects. Under the guidance of Dr. Abbasi, Viet has joined Calgary Sensor Lab in Summer 2022. His responsibility is to apply NI LabVIEW software to automate the testing phase of the chip-less sensor project. Every day, he strives to perform to the highest standards.
